A hot tip: the wintry snow blankets of Kitzsteinhorn

no comments so far... »

As early as in September winter sports enthusiasts took advantage of the excellent conditions of Kitzsteinhorn’s ski runs to get ready for the up-coming winter season. It goes without saying that I was eager to visit the glacier again, too. Only recently, I put my plan into action to be able to keep you up to date with the latest news from an altitude of 3,000 metres above sea level.

As usual, the state-of-the-art cable cars of Kitzsteinhorn took care of a quick and comfortable transport up to the wintry snow blankets of Kitzsteinhorn. While the valley disappeared under a thick layer of fog, the glacier was a guarantee for radiant sunshine and a gorgeous blue sky again. Thanks to the fresh snowfall during the last days, the pistes boasted absolutely perfect conditions. As a passionate snowboarder I was itching to test the glacier park at 2,900 metres, too, of course. The set-up of the park is really impressive: diversified and challenging obstacles such as jib and kicker lines for beginners and for experienced boarders make sure that all riders have a blast. After many swings on the ski runs and an extensive session at the snow park I boarded the cable car and headed back down into the valley. My conclusion: this was a perfect day on the wintry snow blankets of Kitzsteinhorn!

Another hot tip: thanks to the POWER OF TEN offer, all those younger than 19 get their day ticket for just 10 euros every Saturday until 1st May 2011!

See you soon on Kitzsteinhorn
Christian
