A hot tip: where the small ones make it big

Zell am See-Kaprun offers ski and snowboard adventures for young and old winter sports enthusiasts alike. The ski runs of our local mountains are the perfect terrain for up-and-coming star athletes to emulate their adult role models and parents can rest assured that their offspring will enjoy safe and carefree fun on skis and board.

Auf der Schmittenhöhe fahren Kinder ganz besonders gern Ski.

It is not least Schmittenhöhe on the threshold of Zell am See which offers unique opportunities for our youngest guests to dash down the slopes to their hearts’ content. Since last winter the ‘magic carpet’ at the valley station of Areitbahn cable car has been the ultimate place to go for exciting adventures in the snow.

I have to admit that I really enjoy watching the kids during a carefree day on the slopes. I know that they are well taken care of here and have a blast with their peers. Panorama Piste No. 1 has a low level of difficulty and thus is absolutely made for a children’s downhill ride.

Kids who are already pretty confident on skis and boards will enjoy a fabulous time in the new children’s paradise at Glocknerwiese. It is a true pleasure to watch the children’s amazing improvements within just a few days time. The entire ski run from the summit of Schmittenhöhe down to the mountain station of Areitbahn I is perfectly suitable for young athletes.

When spending a day on skis or boards you will sooner or later feel hungry. The cosy Breiteckalm inn is a fabulous spot to grab something to eat. I love this place for its typically Austrian dishes and in addition I get all nostalgic thinking of my first steps on skis here. Come to see for yourself!
