Sun & Snow at the Peakworld 3000, Kitzsteinhorn Glacierno comments so far... »
With 25°C in the valley our team headed for the Kitzsteinhorn glacier early in the morning. We enjoyed the view out of the cable cars: first there are green meadows with cows, then mostly stone and still a bit higher there’s snow. Even in July a lot of the higher parts of the Kitzsteinhorn is covered in snow! It seems like another world. Instead of 25° we enjoyed 6°, too cold for shorts and flip flops.
We enjoyed the cinema 3000, showing wonderful pictures of the glacier and the adjacent National Park Hohe Tauern. Then we visited the National Park gallery and learned a lot about the genesis of the glacier, snow, crystals and more.
We liked watching how our guests love the snow up there. We tried to avoid all the snowball fights going on up there too Then we had lunch at the restaurant at Peakworld 3000 – enjoying the view and delicious meals! Thus strengthened for the rest of the day, we headed back down to our office!
