Andrea Herbst almost always wears an open smile on her face. Whenever guests look for insider's tips for their holidays, she is the right person to ask. In addition she is a true language talent: so 'Welcome', 'Buongiorno' or 'Привет' to the region.
She has been a member of the guest service team for quite some time already. At the call centre, Astrid takes care of the callers' wishes and always has a great tip for exclusive holiday experiences at hand. Readers of our monthly newsletter have already been able to enjoy some of them. When it comes to sports, she is enthusiastic about golf and snowboarding. And at work she has lost her heart to office dog Niki.
Kaprun: that's where she lives, where she works, and where she was born. Birgit Arnold is the perfect example to demonstrate what loyalty for one's home can look like. At the guest service, she takes care of the needs and wishes of 'her' holidaymakers. In her leisure time she enjoys practising sports. Or else, she gives a solo performance - with her transverse flute in Kaprun's band.
Snowboarding gives him the ultimate feeling of being alive, allows him to spend time with his friends, enjoy nature, emotion and passion. At Gletscherbahnen Kaprun cable cars, Christian Hörl is responsible for the region's web appearance - besides many other marketing activities. On here, he tells you about the latest news from 3,000 metres of altitude and gives away insider's tips.
Christian Mairitsch interested in tech, the internet and other geek stuff since he was a little boy. This characteristic and his excellent qualification make him the perfect candidate for the head of online marketing and the social media department of Zell am See-Kaprun. Born in Carinthia, he is now discovering the region and its diversified leisure activities like hiking, climbing, swimming or geocaching.
When it comes to touring ski, there is no one who knows more about it: in the region, Christain Pfeffer set foot, or in this case ski, on practically every single centimetre of passable track. Here, the employee of Kaprun's information office tells you where to go for sportive delights. More insiders' tips about nature and leisure time? Ask him!
Even guest authors will write posts in our blog - we are very happy about that!
Since the 1st december 2010, Marco Pointner is the head of Zell am See-Kaprun's marketing departement. Born in Salzburg, he knows the region pretty well. You can often find him in the mountains too. Even for his favourite hobby - the triathlon - he finds perfect training conditions in Zell am See-Kaprun!
Marina Latini originally comes from the picturesque town on the shores of Lake Zell. For her studies and first job she went to Salzburg but in her heart she has remained faithful to her home town. In her opinion it is its diversified nature which makes Zell am See-Kaprun so unique. She is glad to share her enthusiasm for the region's diversity with guests and holidaymakers. In the marketing department, she organizes new events and takes care of the region's web profile with lots of creativity and cheerfulness.
Monika Embacher's life is full of contrasts: working as an accountant for the region is a matter-of-fact job. In her leisure time she prefers things a tad more lively - going spinning at Kaprun's fitness studio 'Injoy' for example. And she also likes biking in the mountains, skiing on the pistes or doing magic - for her family in her kitchen at home.
She is the right-hand and sometimes also the 'left-hand' girl for the marketing department. Since she was born in Zell and loves taking a walk, going on a bicycle tour or swimming in Lake Zell, she knows the region off pat. Going out in the evenings? Just ask Pia! She can tell you the places to be.
Sssh! Listen up: Sebastian Kaufmann has the latest news for your ears! He is always on tour with his mic and keeps you up-to-date with his regular podcasts. Now, he is leaving his familiar terrain and presenting his news in writing. He'll make sure, though, to link some of his audio contributions to the blog.
An organisation like Zell am See-Kaprun depends on many cogs to run smoothly. Renate Ecker is keeping one of the biggest in motion. Since 1st June 2010 she has been managing director of the Tourismus GmbH and thus controls the fate of the entire region. When she is not busy promoting the twin towns on the international market, she enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, swimming, and rock climbing to relax and unwind.
Sandra was born in Rauris thus it is easy to understand where her love for the Austrian Alps comes from. Winter sports are another passion of hers. In the summertime she exchanges her skis for walking boots. It's only logical that she has made her hobbies her profession by work-ing in the guest service on Schmittenhöhe.
As one of the younger team members, Marina contributes many new impulses in guest service. She works at the call centre during the summer season. To take her career to the next level, she has attended the tourism school Klessheim in Salzburg. As a balance to her job she goes jogging, swimming and inline skating. And when the temperatures are dropping she spends her free time on the piste or at the Advent market.
The guest service of the region is her domain. She utterly identifies with her job - even in her leisure time. You can be sure that she knows what she is talking about when giving away in-siders' tips. In order to keep up to date, Veronika roams the region on touring skis in winter and on her bike or equipped with hiking boots in the summer months.
